New Waffle House planned for Davis Road
A new Waffle House restaurant is slated for the corner of Pleasant Home and Davis roads.
The restaurant would go in a vacant lot next to The Snug if a rezoning request is approved by the Augusta Commission on Oct. 20. The change of zoning from professional to general business was approved by the Augusta Planning Commission on Monday.
The restaurant would be a company-owned location. Details of the construction schedule were not discussed.
“This would be a standard size building. The curb cuts will remain in place,” said Butch Baur, the vice president of real estate for the restaurant chain.
According to property records, the parcel at 246 Davis Road is owned by Andrew Kilpatrick.
