Job Details

The Youth Development Center at Camp Long in Aiken is looking to fill a Human Service Professional position. Responsibility will include case management coordination services such as: assessment, planning, monitoring, advocacy and direct intervention and provides advisory and consultative services. HSP’s provide case management and treatment for juveniles in conjunction with Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).

The Youth Development Center is a collaboration between The Youth Learning Institute of Clemson University and the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice to divert status offenders from behind the fence detention.

The Youth Development Center combines divergent learning approaches in an outdoor education environment. This at risk youth facility teaches youth 12-17 their learning style and gives them tools to return to the traditional environment. The Youth Development Center uses outdoor education and adventure modalities as a regular course of treatment.

Compensation and benefits:

Hours 40 Pay: $26,000 - $35,000 dependent on experience

Requirements and Qualification:

  • A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be submitted for the required program experience.
  • Previous HR experience a plus
  • Previous youth development/educational experience a plus
