Location:  Savannah, Georgia

STATEMENT OF THE JOB: The Acquisition Account Executive’s job is to aggressively prospect through multiple campaigns including cold calling, networking, and referrals. To analyze customer’s marketing needs, create compelling proposals, and present solutions to meet their needs. Upon sale, pass customers to a Retention Account Executive for ongoing service.

 

THE REQUIREMENTS OR SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

EDUCATION:  College degree preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: Must have 2-3 years progressively responsible sales experience with demonstrated success managing and developing advertising revenues.  Demonstrated success performing in a commission sales environment required.  Media Experience helpful.

  • Record all sales activity in CRM tools and meet all monthly sales targets and KPI’s.
  • Strong communication / listening skills.
  • Ability to collaborate within internal stakeholders and cross functional teams.
  • Visualizes and/or paints a conceptual picture of the solution.
  • Collaborative problem solver.
  • Emulates and represent our company brand and company image.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate information and accelerate learning curve in short period of time.
  • Ability to use technology to creatively present to clients.
  • Experience selling media and technology solutions to local businesses.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that must be complemented by excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in technology and software-as-a-service (SaaS) product sales is preferred.
  • Experience with SugarCRM preferred.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment. 
  • Must have computer proficiency and knowledge of e-commerce. 
  • Consistently meet or exceed goals as defined by manager. 
  • Experience with Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, Targeted display marketing and outbound marketing tactics Preferred.
  • Must have a current driver’s license with appropriate proof of insurance.  

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:

  • You will be required to travel 100% of the time throughout the DMA.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals in your territory/segment on a consistent basis
  • Excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills required. 
  • Must generate sales via onsite meetings.
  • Experience leveraging solutions selling methodologies to uncover customer needs and communicate the specific value(s) of your products / services to key decision makers.
  • Establish connections with local business owners.
  • Responsible for selling, promoting and demonstrating the value of our media company products, solutions and services.
  • Complete and manage the sales process from prospecting to completing the client’s initial order. This includes obtaining the client’s agreement and payment options.
  • Independent self-starter who thrives in a dynamic entrepreneurial work environment.
  • Experience creating and managing a sales pipeline based on monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets.
  • Responsible for selling customized long term online campaigns to local area businesses. Data ops team will provide the potential customer leads by segment.
  • Prospect new business effectively by offering solutions for business needs.
  • Develop and present sales proposals to decision makers and negotiate rate agreements.
  • Follow-up on business leads within assigned category. 
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the digital media industry; be able to competitively differentiate competitors.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Working primarily “on the street” with minimal office time. Will be required to log sales activities in CRM tool remotely between appointments on personal tablet.
